19, 2001) -- CARQUEST Auto Parts announced Bob Anderson and Glen Jones of
AJ's Auto Repair in Salem, Oregon as the 2001 National Excellence
Award winner.
The CARQUEST Excellence Award is based on industry
involvement, A.S.E. technician certifications, community involvement,
training, shop appearance, customer service, random surveys of each shops
clientele base, environmental commitment, and input from mystery shoppers
who were sent to each shop. The editors of the top industry trade
publications selected the finalists and the National winner.

On
February 24th, 2001 Bob Anderson and Glen Jones, owners of AJ's Auto
Repair in Salem, Oregon were awarded the "Art Morse Shop of the
Year Award," the highest honor given to any repair facility
in the state by the Automotive Service Association of Oregon. "Art
Morse Shop of the Year" recipients are recognized by their peers for
their devotion to improving the industry, their commitment to customer
relations, their involvement in their trade association, their continued
technical and management training as well as the support they offer their
local community.
This is not AJ Auto Repair's first such recognition. In 1994, they were
awarded the Governor's Award for Toxics Use Reduction and in
2000 Car Quest selected AJ's as one of the top 10 Automotive Repair
Facilities in the Nation.
